Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of a filling point in the district of Javadabad, city of Varamin, the administrator of CNG station construction project in Tehran province Amir Kishadi said that fueling network supplies 19 million cubic meters of natural gas to vehicles per day.
Kishadi also stated that Tehran province has 258 compressed natural gas stations, of which 205 are currently operational and 50 are near completion.
Last month, it was announced that the country expects to reach 2,000 facilities by the end of the current Iranian year. “Iran ranked first among Asian nations in terms of establishment and development of (CNG) stations,” said managing director of National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) Jalil Salari.
