In fact, the company has already deployed a fleet powered by this technology. “We are the first company to open a CNG station in both Ciudad Juárez and Chihuahua State. Our neighboring city of El Paso does not have a refueling site offering these services at present,” the firm stated in a press release, according to a report published by El Diario.
The opening ceremony was attended by the state governor, César Duarte Jáquez; the mayor of Ciudad Juárez, Héctor Murguía Lardizábal; the president of the Supreme Court of the State, Javier Ramírez Benítez; and the president of Grupo Imperial Valentín Fuentes, among other officials and businessmen.
The City Mayor congratulated Fuentes on the launch of this innovative project in Ciudad Juárez. At the same time, Governor Duarte also highlighted the major contribution made by the company to push this business, “which represents the future in the present, alternatives completely new for Mexico by now.”
The installation of the compressed natural gas fueling station has involved an investment of 30 million Mexican pesos (nearly USD 2.4 million).
