Nigeria: NIPCO seeks to offer CNG in 5,000 stations

It is worth mentioning that over 250 taxis are running on CNG in this city, according to Business Day news website. “Your efforts in championing the use of CNG as vehicle fuel is promising and your expansion programs in the industry should be made possible and a reality in no distant future,” said Ibrahim Njiddah, senior special assistant to the President on Energy Partnership, when visiting NIPCO recently.

“We are going to ensure that NIPCO remains in the forefront of making sure that the monster of fuel scarcity, especially in the Northern part of the country, does not rear its ugly head again. With thousands of outlets of its partnering members across the country and the guaranteed supply from the company’s depot, fuel supply across the country will get better,” replied Venkataraman Venkatapathy, NIPCO Plc managing director.
