According to Jorge Martínez Merizalde, Global Bus general manager, the second half of the fleet purchased will be delivered later this year. “We had been negotiating with CONECSA for some time and due to the company’s perseverance and spirit towards the acquisition of our buses we provided them with financing with an excellent price. I am pleased because, as a result of this new deal, we have become the absolute leader in the natural gas powered buses market,” he explained
Meanwhile, CONECSA chairman José López Vidal, stated: “We have acquired a large fleet of CNG buses, so we became part of the urban transportation elite”.
Global Bus has just sold over 350 natural gas fueled Golden Dragon vehicles in Peru in order to support the modernization of fleets, the website ½ de Transporte published. As CONECSA did, the operator Carmen de Punta also decided to renew its fleet and will acquire Golden Dragon CNG buses to provide a better service throughout Lima and Callao.
