Omar Castillo, Philippine National Oil Co.-Exploration Corp. (PNOC-EC) vice president announced the deal will be signed on November 3rd. It includes the supply of CNG for the buses up to 2018, the acquisition of Shell’s CNG refueling station in the city of Biñan (province of Laguna) and the takeover of the storage facility in Batangas.
Also, by the end of the year, the company aims to replace the technology being used by the operating stations in the area (mother and daughter), which currently serves 30 CNG buses running on the Batangas–Manila route.
Moreover, PNOC-EC will build a new CNG facility in six months at the Batangas Port, near the province of Laguna, reported the local newspaper Manila Times.
The Malampaya consortium is composed of Shell Philippines Exploration B.V., Chevron LLC and PNOC-EC.
