The company, which built a facility in Tampines a year ago, is owned by Teo Kiang Ang, who has also bid for two CNG refuelling stations in Mandai and Serangoon, belonging to its competitor Smart Taxis.
The Asia Pacific´s web site mentioned above explained that if Teo is eventually successful in his offer, he will practically take the control of the CNG refuelling market.
Trans-Cab will also open a taxi workshop in the new CNG refuelling station to encourage the expansion of the NGV fleet.
In turn, Teo added he aims to double the number of his taxi fleet by 2014. Currently, his company has about 4,000 cabs and half of them run on CNG.
