With this new cellphone application, NGV drivers can travel without worries and unnecessary delays. It is available for iOS, Android and Windows Phone operating systems and in the following countries: Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Finland, France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Great Britain, and Denmark.
The Škoda CNG app helps to plan the whole route in advance according to natural gas station locations and exports the plan to the driver’s navigation. It also gives details about every fueling facility on the route, as well as a quickly look up the nearest one. Besides, the app is loaded with information about the new Škoda G-TEC models.
While looking the same as other Škoda cars, the G-TEC models are equipped with automatic switching between the two fuel systems (gasoline and CNG). With natural gas, they promise low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions as well as impressive range and, of course, low costs for the driving.
Across Europe, there are around 4,000 CNG stations available to the public. In 2013 Germany and Italy had the highest number of public filling stations with around 900.
