As reported by South Korean news agency Yonhap, both Kolon and KazTransGaz will establish a joint venture for this project, which involves a USD 250 million contract to develop CNG fuelling infrastructure across Kazakhstan’s major cities.
In January this year, Kolon also announced it will spend USD 83 million over the next four years to build 50 CNG stations in Uzbekistan, as the company attempts to expand its global energy business in the Asian market.
It is worth recalling that Ministry of Environment of South Korea and Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan have signed an agreement on distribution and technology of natural gas vehicles.
