The infrastructure is capable of achieving 10,000 LNG fillings for trucks and 40,000 CNG fillings for light vehicles annually. This public access station located in the A-3 highway may provide long haul fleets with fuel, as well as municipal and waste collection vehicles and buses.
Motilla Palancar refueling station is one of seven sites built in Spain as part of the European project GARneT (Gas as an Alternative for Road Transport) led by Gas Natural Fenosa. The facilities, which have been installed in major transport corridors, will supply LNG and CNG for vehicles.
The distribution company has 36 private and public filling stations in Spain, with a supply capacity of 1,003 GWh/year. These refueling sites serve most of the approximately 3,700 NGVs operational in Spain, which are mainly buses, waste collection trucks, taxis and fleets from different companies.
A total of 21 provinces are currently taking advantage of public access natural gas filling stations, among which are Barcelona, Madrid, Seville and Valencia.
