Aliara Energía, a company of Madrileña Red de Gas Group, has opened its first CNG refueling station in Madrid in early February. Following the incorporation of the new Aliara facility, Madrid has about 12 CNG stations, which allow access to this environmentally-friendly alternative fuel to citizens and private companies.
This recent opening (on Poblado Avenue) is part of the energy company’s plan to promote the use of this alternative fuel for the benefit of the environment, Aliaria explained in a statement.
The company also plans to build three new natural gas stations in the Community of Madrid: in Las Tablas, Avenida de Andalucía and Campamento.
According to Aliara, because CNG emits less CO2, NOx and harmful particles than other fuels, the vehicles that use it will be able to circulate through the cities that decree partial restrictions to the transit by peaks of contamination.
