Located at Stigs Center in Gothenburg (the second largest city in Sweden), the first public refuelling station for liquefied natural gas vehicles will be initially served with LNG from Norway. By 2011, the dispensing point will be supplied with locally produced liquefied biomethane straight from a new biogas plant in Lidköping.
According to FordonsGas Sverige’s executive, if demand is as estimated, the company will continue to build stations with different clean fuels.
“Stigs Center is Sweden’s biggest sales outlet selling fuels for heavy duty vehicles. It’s marvellous that we can now offer both ordinary vehicle gas for private cars and liquefied vehicle gas for heavy duty vehicles at one and the same station,” added Ramberg.
