In Colombia, the French company has installed about 600 different cryogenic equipments, mainly used by industrial gas customers. In the same country, the firm participates in several projects related to the installation of liquefaction plants. Through these initiatives, Cryostar offers solutions in either liquid or gasification processes.
Regarding LNG facilities, Cryostar Brazil set up four LGNC stations (both pumps and control system) to supply vehicles with CNG from LNG. “The cryogenic pump maintenance is performed in our facilities in Vinhedo, São Paulo,” Tarbouriech stated. In Chile, meanwhile, “a gasification system has been placed, and Metrogas operates LNG distribution trucks with Cryostar pumps,” the executive added.
Similarly, in Argentina, Cryostar is involved in the Buquebus project with the “world’s largest catamaran”. Tarbouriech explained that, in this case, “the vertical pump model will be used for the energy production process, whereas pumps model HPB will be installed for the ship filling from trailers.”
The company representative said that Cryostar technology enables the supply to the largest station in Europe in terms of vehicle fueling capacity per day, according to his estimations. “In Uppsala, Sweden, pumps have the capacity to refuel 80 buses in two hours (low-filling mode)”.
