“Our natural gas hybrid engine was specifically designed for use in crowded urban environments such as Baoding City. This engine consumes less fuel and generates lower emissions than standard engines, which are tremendous advantages for urban bus operators,” said Benny H. Goh, President of China Yuchai. “This order is a further validation of our strategy to provide diversified solutions to meet the changing requirements of our customers and support the Chinese government’s drive to reduce emissions and conserve the environment.”
The hybrid YC6J medium-duty engine was launched in October 2010 and is primarily intended for use in public buses and coaches of between 8-11 meters in length. It has been upgraded to meet the National V emission standards.
