The GM engine can be installed in 14,000 trucks and above as a repower to run on methane, instead of diesel, which can help reduce the cost of fuel for fleet operators. Greenkraft has also manufactured a full line of cab forward trucks that will be introducing to the North American market. These are dedicated CNG and range from 14,000 to 33,000 GVRW.
“The CARB certification is especially important because several states have either adopted or are in the process of adopting California’s emissions standards,” said Frank Ziegler, Greenkraft sales manager. These states include New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Vermont, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, Maryland and Florida.
Furthermore, Greenkraft has recently announced it is seeking dealers for its CNG-dedicated trucks throughout the state of California.
