Oasis Engineering, New Zealand-based CNG product development company, announced its latest technology in Trailer Breakaway, which is a game-changer for the NGV industry. The IB108 Inline Trailer Breakaway is manufactured by Oasis Engineering with two different thread types, National Pipe Tapered (NPT) which is used mostly in North America and SAE which is a globally recognized thread type.
Ricky Lee, Vice President of Business Development for USA & Canada has noticed changes in the North American market, “I have recognized a push towards the US market using more SAE threads instead of NPT, because of its design, SAE is far less likely to leak and therefore much safer.”
Oasis customizes their products to suit any customers requirements which can include adjustments as simple as different thread types or as complex as complete customization of the product. This means they can cater for the varied requirements of the global CNG market which they have been doing for over 30 years. As well as manufacturing the inline trailer breakaway, Oasis provides instruction manuals and kits for servicing the parts.
Most CNG inline trailer breakaways are not able to be serviced and require a highly experienced technician to remove and replace them, whereas the IB108 can be removed and serviced by onsite maintenance staff which means less downtime and much lower costs. “We pride ourselves on ensuring our customers CNG systems can be serviced and back up and running as soon as possible,” added Lee.
