Local Chamber chairman, Miguel Maal, said he was satisfied with the steady increase of CNG conversions in the capital of Peru after the introduction of natural gas, five years before. “The development of NGVs is encouraged by the construction of infrastructure, such as the 150 workshops, and the expansion of CNG refuelling stations.”
In turn, Maal highlighted that 600 CNG buses will be added to the Lima´s Metropolitan Transportation fleet.
Moreover, in the interior of the country the adoption of natural gas grows firmly. In Lambayeque and Piura´s workshops, 140 vehicles were converted to CNG in a month.
It is worth mentioning that, last Thursday, the CPGNV awarded the driver who converted the vehicle number 100,000 to CNG.
