It is expected that the carriers union will incorporate the new bus and van fleet that will transport passengers in Santa Marta and implement the new mass transit system as of January 2014.
As a consequence, Santa Marta’s Traffic Division has recently organized a meeting held with the local carriers union during which they discussed about the use of natural gas vehicles and the environmental benefits it offers in comparison with other energy options.

It is noteworthy that Colombia will host the International Conference and Exhibition on Natural Gas Vehicles NGV2013 Colombia, which will be held on November 6-8 in Cartagena. It is regarded as the most important event of the sector in Latin America this year.
