Vélez Trujillo was pleased with the progress of works connected to the mass transit project and said that Transcaribe manager will travel to Bogota to meet with government representatives to get new funds to complete this transportation system, which is one of the priorities of the city government.
The BRT manager Jose Lopez Amarís explained that these route trials are preparing in advance for the beginning of Transcaribe operations.
Both the Mayor of Cartagena and the BRT manager reminded people and companies interested that the deadline for the mass transit operation bidding to submit their proposals and be involved in this ambitious city project is November 22.
A few days ago, at the opening ceremony of the International Congress and Exhibition NGV2013 Colombia, Mayor Vélez Trujillo had expressed his support towards the use of compressed natural gas in mass transit fleets.
