A few days ago, Cornelissen Transport added eight Iveco Stralis Hi-Road units fueled by liquefied natural gas and put them into operation. It had already deployed seven trucks featuring this clean fuel system. The company’s choice for these vehicles is part of its sustainable business and CSR policy.
Currently, Cornelissen Group provides logistics services with a multimodal character and a strong sustainability policy. The company has locations in Nijmegen, Tilburg, Geldermalsen, Breda, Veghel, Cuijk, Heteren and Zwolle.
The eight new Iveco truck added by Cornelissen Transport feature a six-cylinder natural gas engine with power outputs of 330hp and a torque of 1200 Nm. The natural gas engine is quiet and has low emissions of particulates, NOx and CO2. This fact makes these tractors ideal for urban operations while air pollution is achieved. In addition, vehicle’s low noise makes the truck comfortable for the driver.
The older trucks with their diesel engine are being replaced by vehicles equipped with dual fuel system.
