According to both companies, the use of natural gas in marine and land transportation has become a viable and immediate choice to decrease oil dependency. They also agree that its implementation in ships addresses EU’s concerns regarding the negative effect of vessel traffic on the environment, and natural gas not only reduces CO2 emissions but also avoids fuel spills into the sea.
