By loading a container, with about 17 tons of LNG at Gate Terminal, Titan LNG, its partner company Rolande LNG and E.ON Global Commodities reach an important milestone in developing the German LNG market. Titan LNG focuses on the transition to economic and clean LNG supply in the industrial and shipping sectors of northwest Europe.
“The successful test loading of an LNG container, by Titan LNG and E.ON Global Commodities, generates new flexible, pipeline-independent gas supply possibilities for Germany,” explained Niels den Nijs, Commercial Director of Titan LNG.
The new truck loading possibility at Gate Terminal has a logistical advantage compared to the LNG sourcing from Zeebrugge (Belgium). “Supplying LNG to Germany from Rotterdam enables us to offer a competitive full‐service solution for the industrial and shipping sector,” said Stella Kraus, Titan LNG Business Development manager.
Amsterdam-based Titan supplies LNG to industrial and shipping customers in Germany, the Benelux, Austria and Switzerland, offering a complete solution: LNG supply, LNG transport and on-site LNG storage equipment installations. Rolande LNG, based in Giessen, operates LNG filling stations for road transportation in northwest Europe.
E.ON Global Commodities is the energy trading business of E.ON. As the commercial hub for E.ON to the international wholesale markets, it sources, stores, transports, markets and trades energy commodities on a global scale.
