From September 25 to 28, Scania will participate in the 2017 Argentina Oil & Gas Expo at La Rural in Buenos Aires, featuring more than 300 companies and 20,000 professional visitors. This time, Scania will showcase its V8 engine fueled by natural gas or biogas for power generation, as well as information on its platform of industrial engines and its wide portfolio of products developed for the oil and gas industry.
“The availability of gas in the region makes this solution extremely attractive because the fuel economy is reflected in the customer’s operation. If offers a 40% higher performance compared to the use of diesel,” said the Engines Manager at Scania Argentina, Lucas Woinilowicz.
The natural gas V8 engine reduces CO2 emissions by 20% and noise, by directly reducing environmental impact. Worldwide, Scania offers the largest variety of alternative fuel engines on the market, and the gas V8 reinforces the company’s focus on increasing efficiency and reducing customer operating costs.
The Swedish company also has a wide range of products designed for demanding applications and hostile environments, such as oil operations. Its off-road trucks offer robust and reliable transportation solutions, which have demonstrated excellent performance in this hard industrial segment.
