The current chapter of Fortnite is coming to a close to reveal the upcoming second Season for the game. We’ve enjoyed a bunch of Hollywood references and appearances in the latest packs and collabs, but now Epic Games is preparing fans for something new and promising.
From massive hints to a big jump in the main storyline, to new themes from other video games and series, there looks to be a lot of potential coming soon. Here’s all the latest leaks that have been posted about the new season to see what we’re waiting for.

When is Chapter 7 Season 2 Releasing?
The release date for Chapter 7 Season 2 hasn’t been made official just yet per say. The director of Epic Games did say in a press release that the update will “begin” around March 9th, but we don’t know exactly what that means. This is because other dates around that time were also provided, but the release date for the season and chapter look to be around early March.

Norse Mythology Theming
One of the most prominent leaks made by users online on Twitter or X was the fact that the upcoming chapter will be based around Norse mythology. This wouldn’t be the first time Fortnite has delved into ancient mythologies in the past, and there’s already some impressive looking concept art for upcoming Skins. Back in the second Chapter of Season 2, Epic Games had Greek gods appear in the game, so Norse is definitely plausible.
To add more fuel to the art leaks, the director Ted Timmins also hinted at the mythology update. With a simple teaser reading, “Bearer,” fans theorized that he could be referencing Yggdrasil who is the bearer of the nine realms in Norse mythology. However, the word could hint at several things outside of that. We’ll just have to wait for any confirmations, but the leaked art and information looks promising already.
Looney Tunes Collab
A leak of some Looney Tune characters making an appearance was made months ago, but now it’s looking to finally become real with this update. There were previous leaks and hints of the Looney Tunes making an appearance with no real confirmation as to when.
Now, the leakers of the internet are putting their release date to this new update which may feature Daffy Duck, Buggs Bunny, and Lola Bunny making their appearances. Considering that the new theming might be around Norse mythology though, they’ll likely be placed directly in the V-Bucks item shop rather than the Battle Pass.
Kingdom Hearts Collab
The final collab leak as of right now has to do with the huge Kingdom Hearts franchise! Apparently, leakers online have found out that the characters of Kingdom Hearts, namely Sora and his iconic Keyblade, will be joining the Fortnite roster.
Just like the Looney Tunes characters, both the Skin and weapon will likely be placed in the item shop for grabs. However, at least you can get them immediately instead of having to work through that Battle Pass!
The Seven
The Seven were a huge part of Fortnite’s main storyline for a while, but we hadn’t seen them a lot since. Now thanks to a recent teaser from Epic Games, there are very strong suggestions of us getting to meet and work with The Seven once again.
The Foundation, leader of The Seven, is the one we see in the teaser which also hints at him making a more physical appearance in the next Chapter. Fans suggest that the new story update might involve the crew looking for more members of The Imagined and The Paradigm.
The Ice King
In the earlier Love and Legends trailer, we actually get to see the Ice King make a physical return while fighting alongside the Dark Voyager. Both were seen at war against The Seven, so there’s some more strong implications of all these characters making their returns in the story and game. The Ice King is also rocking a brand new Skin that we expect to also see in the future Battle Pass or at least the item shop. It does look pretty cool at least!
Gameplay Changes
The same director that gave the major Norse mythology hints in the teasers also did a few Q&As with other presses. According to him, several key quality of life features and changes will be added to the next Fortnite update.
He also promised key changes such as a refreshed loot pool, a new Battle Bus driver, more complex mechanics, the removal of surfing at the beginning of matches, and so much more to be discovered.
